A Roadtrip to the Roots of Rock & Pop

Showtime: February 21, 2018 to June 10, 2018
Start: Wednesday to Saturday 8 pm (Sunday 6 pm)

Premiere: March 01, 2018
Director: Frank Müller

At a time when the world seems to spin faster and faster, the wish for deceleration, purism and authenticity is growing. In the show TAKE IT EASY! free spirits of hand-made music meet unique body arts and extraordinary performances.

On the trail of folk, country, rock and pop new pictures are emerging all the time on the stage of the Wintergarten. Artists, dancers, musicians and singers from all over the world celebrate a place of longing away from everyday life and take the audience to an acrobatic-musical journey. Songs by Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Fleetwood Mac as well as the Dixie Chicks, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran serve as a background for the creation of a carnival of the senses: TAKE IT EASY!

Let yourself be inspired and also be seduced by culinary arts: “Take it easy, don’t let it get to yourself and change down a gear.”

Apart from absolute body control and precise timing, mutual trust is particularly important when Niko y Vito balance on their “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. Chris Kiliano, the rock star amongst the aerialists, lets the “Wild Horses” of the Rolling Stones fly and Timothy Trust & Diamond amaze the audience with their sabre illusion – you never have seen “Gimme All Your Lovin” by ZZ Top in this way.

Whilst Dasha & Vadym – the current winners of the “Battle of the Best – It’s Showtime” – perform their artistic top acts as dancing ground acrobatics or choreography of the airs, the Karpovich Brothers are catapulting themselves with their teeterboard, speed and a wink to the rhythm of “Sweet Home Alabama” into the Wintergarten’s starry sky.

Little stories are told when Melanie Chy from Las Vegas goes into a handstand on one arm over the hand bar of her Harley to the music of “Bad Things” or when the world champions of Twin Spin let their diabolos fly to the tune of Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way”. The White Gothic quartet shows as “Brothers In Arms” acrobatics extraordinaire. Without any rush and rapid movements – at the same time relaxed, quiet and sexy. Take it easy!

Vanessa S., Crsto, Henriette Schreiner and Tim Wilhelm – singer of the legendary “Münchener Freiheit” – are the vocal guides through the evening and interpret many hits newly and contagiously with the support of the live band around Erez Frank. With a lot of joy of living, this leads to an evening full of energy. Totally amazing and enthralling.
