Berlin has always been Germany’s melting pot and cultural pioneer. Boylesque, sometimes lovingly referred to as male (strip)tease with a storyline, already thrilled the ladies and gentlemen of the late 18th century. In the early 1920s, this art form conquered the Berlin high society, living on in the underground only a short time later. Travesty has also had a long and honourable history and has been enjoying a worldwide renaissance even before RU PAULS DRAG RACE. The time is ripe to give these two treasures their very own festival in Germany.
Paying homage to Jacques Patriaque’s successful VIENNA BOYLESQUE FESTIVAL, which has gained accolades in Europe and beyond, we wish to throw all gender barriers out the window and celebrate wonderful humans of every gender. Diversity and a lust for life shall be the focus of both evenings. Celebrate with us a love of life, for the second time… bigger, more colourful, and guaranteed unique. SAVE THE DATE!
