Berlin-born actors and singers Sharon Brauner and Karsten Troyke both developed an interest in Yiddish music at an early age. Independently of each other, Karsten in East Berlin, Sharon in the West, the two performed numerous concerts in Germany and all over Europe. It wasn’t until a 2015 festival in New York however, that the two artists made their musical connection. Since then, Sharon and Karsten have entertained audiences at more than 30 concerts across Germany.
At their upcoming show at the Wintergarten, accompanied by pianist Harry Ermer and violinist Daniel Weltlinger, the two artists will present their favourite yiddish songs – songs about living and loving, evergreens in a new guise. Happy music for the heart.
